Luxury Car Rental Italy Ski Resorts
With almost three hundred ski resorts and nearly six thousand kilometres of ski runs, Italy must certainly be on your bucket list for a winter vacation. Less busy and notably less expensive than the ski resorts in neighbouring France and Switzerland, Italy´s ski resorts are equally as impressive, boasting stunning scenery, breath taking views, well maintained slopes and an abundance of fresh powder, all coupled with mouth-watering Italian cuisine and a lively après ski scene. Let´s face it, the Italians know what they are doing when it comes to eating and drinking!
Whilst we cannot list every single ski resort in Italy here is a quick guide to the most popular ski destinations and of course our advice on the best luxury cars to rent to get you there in style.
Luxury Car Hire Livigno
Home to the largest snow park in Italy, Livigno sits at a whopping 1800 metres altitude with the majority of slopes sitting high above 2000 metres, meaning that the slopes are invariably always in great condition and with no shortage of fresh snowfall. Livigno is located in the Italian Alps, in the Sondrio province of the Lombardy region and very close to the border with Switzerland.
Whilst offering an abundance of slopes, runs and trails for winter sports enthusiasts another draw of this lovely resort are the hundreds of shops all offering their wares VAT free so whether it is skiing or shopping that floats your boat you will not be disappointed.
If you think you will need room for both your skis and your shopping why not arrange a Range Rover Vogue rental with Europe Luxury Services? This spacious luxury SUV has more than enough room to fit everything in.
Luxury Car Rental Sestriere
Although not one of the prettiest ski resorts around, what this purpose-built resort lacks in aesthetics it certainly makes up for in the sheer amount of skiable area. Making up part of Italy´s well known “Milky Way”, lying along the French-Italian border, this vast ski area boasts some four hundred kilometres of pristine slopes. Great conditions are almost guaranteed here due to the north facing lofty pistes and incredible snowmaking which was boosted in 2006 when the area hosted the Winter Olympics.
Visitors to Sestriere are also rewarded with the best of both worlds when it comes to cuisine and one can enjoy a delightful mix of both France and Italy´s finest gastronomy. Rent an SUV from Turin airport and you can be here in only an hour and a half. Contact our team today to arrange an Audi Q8 rental, a Range Rover Velar rental, a Mercedes GLE rental or any other luxury SUV rental from our extensive fleet.
Luxury Car Rental Madonna di Campiglio
Madonna di Campiglio is a large and very well maintained ski resort in northern Italy which rewards skiers and boarders with over 150 kilometres of downhill runs to roam and explore, including a flood lit run for adventurous night skiing and one of the longest, the Dolomitica which has a gradient of 70% and is almost six kilometres long.
Those who are not hitting the slopes can enjoy the surrounding Adamello Brenta Nature Park, full of hiking trails and pretty lakes before heading back to the resort to relax in one of its many restaurants and cafes and perhaps even try out one of the luxurious spas. Whether you are flying into Bolzano Airport, Verona Airport or one of Milan´s three airports, our team will be there to meet and greet you with your luxury car rental, whether you go for a luxury SUV rental, an executive sedan rental or a four wheel drive sports car rental.
Winter Luxury Car Rental La Thuile
The quaint village of La Thuile sits in the Valle d’Aosta in the northwest of Italy and, due to its location, it is possible from here to ski in two countries in the same day, as the resort directly connects to La Rosiére in France. Whilst the resort itself is not as large as others in Italy, La Thuile enjoys a large skiable area with guaranteed snow and generally quieter slopes and less queues even in the busiest times of the season. Although not one of the largest resorts, La Thuile still offers skiers plenty of off piste action and the adrenalin junkies out there can even partake in heli-skiing.
Sitting equidistant between Geneva Cointrin Airport in Switzerland and Turin Airport in Italy, La Thuile is only a comfortable two-hour drive from either one.
Take your pick from a Range Rover Sport rental, a BMW X5 rental, BMW X6 rental, BMW X7 rental, Porsche Macan rental, Mercedes G63 AMG rental and many more. Contact today to find out which is the best luxury SUV for you.
Luxury Winter Car Hire Cervinia
The high altitude ski resort of Cervinia is often referred to as being Italy´s most “snow sure” resort due to it sitting at a staggering 2,050 metres above sea level with its lifts reaching up to an amazing 3,480 metres. Cervinia is linked to the Swiss ski resort of Zermatt and between them they share some of the highest altitude ski area in the whole of Europe. The difference between Cervinia and Zermatt however, is that in Cervinia you would be paying half the price for the luxury of being able to ski it.
Whilst Cervinia does attract advanced and expert skiers, the sheer variety of slopes on offer means that this resort is also suitable for intermediate skiers and those who are just starting to learn.
With Geneva Airport, Zurich Airport and Milan´s three airports all within easy driving distance, a luxury car rental from Europe Luxury Services is by far the best way to get there.
Luxury Winter Car Rental Cortina d’Ampezzo
Last but by no means least we have Cortina d’Ampezzo, set against the impressive backdrop of The Dolomites, this glamourous ski resort is in fact one of the longest established ski resorts in all of Europe. If you fancy whizzing down the slopes like James Bond, but preferably without the evil henchmen on your tail, then this is the place to do it – the classic Bond film ´For Your Eyes Only´ was partly shot here in 1981.
Cortina d’Ampezzo has three entirely separate ski areas over some 140 kilometres, from nursery slopes for novices all the way up to Olympic and World Cup runs for the more advanced and more adventurous. Off the slopes is equally impressive, this luxurious resort has no shortage of designer boutiques, upmarket stores, grand hotels and fashionable eateries. If you want to fit in with the locals and arrive in style, we suggest you rent a Lamborghini Urus, arrange a Porsche Cayenne S rental or hire a Bentley Bentayga.
